Sharofat Arabova is a lyrical and very sensitive film maker who of course is an eminent personality in the filmdom of Tajikistan.
She made a signature as a film maker, academician and international jury. For me it was quite a happy and rewarding feeling while she wanted me to design music for her short film Khayolfurush, an adaptive version of Tagore’s Kabuliwala.
For me it has been so rewarding as i have been keen on the music around this area, that is East and West Asia, Middle East, East Europe, and including the coastal areas of Europe, well, along the Silk Route and more. These areas belong to magical musical notes that can tell long and colourful stories.
The film earned her rave review and many accolades in international film festivals.
Kudos to Sharofat for her wonderful work of art, and gratitude for making me a part of it.
